The last couple of weeks a group of children have been planning and preparing a "Healthy Food Tasting Day" for their classmates. They have had to plan and carry out a number of steps along the way. There has been a lot of literacy experiences involved, with the children having to write a letter, a shopping list, an invitation, create signs, posters, tickets and also collect data in order to carry out their grand idea. Here are some recent photos of their preparations.
Ella had a great time cooking and eating at school. Her favourite was the ham and cheese pin wheels. She now wants them for breakfast but I have no idea how to make them!!! Lets hope she can remember. Any chance of putting all the recipes on the blog? Thanks
ReplyDeleteWe will get the girls to post the recipes to the Blog today during discovery time. So glad you loved them! It was such a great morning - well done girls :)
ReplyDeleteElla showed me how to make the pin wheels and they turned out great. Well done Ella for remembering. She wants to make the rice balls tomorrow! By the way I have been told not to sign it Ellas mum. Its not the correct way of doing it apparently. :)
ReplyDeleteWell done Mrs Phillips & Ella! We will put the recipe for rice balls up here asap. Mrs Phillips, you can sign however you like, as long as we can figure out who you are! :)
